We have all felt lonely before.
It’s a empty feeling of isolation and disconnection. We don’t even have to be by ourselves to experience it. We can feel loneliness while in a relationship, in a crowded room or even when with friends.
Jesus understands the full breadth of loneliness because he experienced it as well. Because with him though, we are never truly alone.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. ~ Isaiah 41:10
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. ~ Deuteronomy 31:6

One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. ~ Proverbs 18:24
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. ~ Matthew 11:28
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. ~ Psalm 68:5-6
And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. ~ Matthew 28:20
