7 Bible Verses for Times of Loneliness

​We have all felt lonely before.

It’s a empty feeling of isolation and disconnection. We don’t even have to be by ourselves to experience it. We can feel loneliness while in a relationship, in a crowded room or even when with friends.

Jesus understands the full breadth of loneliness because he experienced it as well. Because with him though, we are never truly alone.

​​So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.  ~ Isaiah 41:10

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.  ~ Deuteronomy 31:6

By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.  ~ 1 John 4:13
