By: Kevin Jackson @kevindjackson We all live in different worlds, you hear that all the time. Rich, poor, black, white, American, French. We come from different backgrounds, born in different places and experience different things. We are all different, unique and special. That’s what you hear all the time. Be unique, be an individual, be YOURSELF!
Well, I think there are really just 2 types of people, those saved by the grace of Jesus Christ and those that aren’t. Now, that doesn’t mean people cannot and do not change types during their life, maybe they do. But what it really means is, are you washed in the blood or not? Do you believe you are saved by the Son of God, or you not a believer. No matter where you happened to be born in this world, you are first and foremost God’s child. Period. It doesn’t matter whether you were born in a small town in Texas or on a remote island in the Pacific. “Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” - Romans 15:7. You were born in God’s image, pure and not tainted by this world. But along the way we make choices and decisions that are driven by circumstances and situations. Sometimes these decisions are good ones, sometimes not so good. But they all seem to have consequences and adjust your path in life, God’s true path He has for you. But in the end, all that matters is your belief in God and that His son, Jesus Christ died to save you from your sins. That is what unites us, that IS what makes us all the same. Those that do not truly believe view everyone as different and want us to think that way. Maybe we are on the outside. But inside, we are all EXACTLY the same. Non-believers judge others by what they have, what they have accomplished, how many toys they can accumulate. But in the end, none of that matters at all. God’ doesn’t care about those things. The old saying “you can’t take it with you” always rings true. What really matters is Jesus’ love and your duty to spread that love with as many of God’s children as you can during your temporary life here on earth. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ. Black, white, red, green and yellow. “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” - John 13:34 So, go out and try to get as many people to understand and believe that our “type” of people and our “team” is the one they want to be on. Because we are really not different at all, we are all God’s beautiful children. Although some of us are a little lost and are trying to find our way back home.
