Hey family,
I wanted to get this out earlier, but frankly my head is a little bit of a mess right now. Just being honest. I am trying to not get discouraged by the news or predictions about the Coronavirus, but I am sad for this world. I am trying to keep my faith over my fear, but it is getting the best of me. Living in the U.S., I am afraid what the Coronavirus will bring to my country in the next 2 weeks. The President and experts are predicting a huge number of deaths here, somewhere in the range of 100,000 to 250,000. Very scary times we are living in. However, when I opened my Bible this morning, this verse was in front of me: "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." - Deuteronomy 31:8 No matter what lies ahead, we can rest assured that the Lord Himself will go before us. For some, they will have to deal with the fallout of daily family tension from everyone cooped up together. For others, they face job loss and immense financial stress. And others will have to face loss of family members and dear ones Through every trial we face, we can know that God walks with us. Our job is to remain in-step with His Spirit, and not let discouragement take over. Honestly, as Christians, what can we do to help fight this pandemic? I think the best thing we can do is pray. God’s might hand is the only way I can see this pandemic coming to an end. Pray for our loved ones. Pray for our health professionals. Pray for the world. Pray for everybody. Please Join Me In This Prayer Gracious God, help us slow down during this time of quarantine, and get back in-step with You. Help us to trust You to lead the way, to go before us, with us, and behind us. In the name of Your Son, we will not be afraid or discouraged. Amen. God bless you all - KJ and the team at Living Christian
